Apple to donate 9 million N95 Masks in fight against coronavirus
The demand for for N95 masks continues to climb as people look for ways to protect themselves from the deadly coronavirus. Today, Vice President Pence just announced during the Tuesday White House Coronavirus Task Briefing that tech giant Apple has pledged to donate 9 million N95 Masks in fight against coronavirus. That’s seven million more masks than the company pledged over the weekend.
In a post on Twitter, Apple CEO Tim Cook said: “Our teams at Apple have been working to help source supplies for healthcare providers fighting COVID-19. We’re donating millions of masks for health professionals in the US and Europe. To every one of the heroes on the front lines, we thank you.”

N95 respirator is a respiratory protective device designed to achieve a very close facial fit and very efficient filtration of airborne particles. Honeywell is experiencing a surge in demand for N95 protective face masks in North America, Europe and China. The company has also increased production at multiple of its facilities globally to address the growing demand.
