Apple to donate 2 million industrial masks in fight against coronavirus
Vice President Pence just announced during the Saturday White House Coronavirus Task Briefing that tech giant Apple is donating 2 million industrial masks in fight against coronavirus. The industrial masks will help address the needs of health-care workers in areas hit hard by the new coronavirus.
Apple CEO Tim Cook confirmed in a tweet Saturday evening saying: “Our teams at Apple have been working to help source supplies for healthcare providers fighting COVID-19. We’re donating millions of masks for health professionals in the US and Europe. To every one of the heroes on the front lines, we thank you.”

The coronavirus, which causes the respiratory disease known as COVID-19, currently affects 184 countries and territories around the world. The death toll from the new coronavirus has surpassed 11,272 worldwide with 5,000 in Europe.
